Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced diesel mechanic to join our team at Myles Truck Repair. As a heavy duty diesel mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex diesel engine issues, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair diesel engine issues, including fault diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and brake repairs
- Work with hand tools, precision equipment, and diagnostic software to identify and repair issues
- Collaborate with other technicians to complete complex repairs and maintenance tasks
- Accurately complete all paperwork, including repair information and work orders
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in diesel engine repair
- Prefer knowledge in fault diagnostics, A/C systems, brake systems, emission systems, air systems, and diagnostics/troubleshooting of diesel engines and trailer assemblies
- Dedication and adherence to all company and industry safety standards
- Diesel repair and maintenance experience in heavy truck / DOT compliance
- Factory-trained certifications are preferred
- Ability to get to work on time, read and write English, lift to 60lbs
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to find the source of problems
- Basic computer skills with the ability to use diagnostic programs & work order software
