Field Service Technician

Wagner Spray Tech is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our Engineered Systems team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and driving service success to maximize customer satisfaction and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic troubleshooting on existing equipment, either remotely or on-site, to diagnose errors, faults, or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
- Install Wagner powder coating systems in North America, ensuring timely and accurate completion of installations.
- Pre-assemble system components in MN prior to shipment to customers, adhering to strict quality control standards.
- Assist with and perform lab trials, industry trainings, and general housekeeping in the Demonstration Lab.
- Produce timely and detailed service reports, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Build positive relationships with customers, comprehending their requirements and making appropriate recommendations to meet their needs.
- Support the sales team as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and expertise.
- Cooperate with the technical team and share information across the organization, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
- High school diploma and 2-year technical degree; and 3+ years of progressive experience preferably in the industrial application and finishing industry.
- Valid driver's license and valid passport to work and travel in North America.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and familiarity with SharePoint platform and AutoCAD a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service electro-pneumatic equipment, read and understand general electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics, and work flexible shifts with overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a field setting, requiring frequent walking, standing, and lifting of articles or heavier materials with help from others. Travel is required within North America up to 80%, with day trips up to 3 weeks on the road.
