Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Banquet Manager to join our team at Rosewood Sand Hill. As a key member of our Food and Beverage department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of banquets and events, providing exceptional service to our guests, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate banquet operations, including menu planning, table settings, and logistics
- Work closely with the Chef and Stewarding team to ensure seamless execution of events
- Prepare station assignments for Banquet Servers and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages
- Inspect table set-ups and rectify any deficiencies
- Communicate with guests and staff to ensure their needs are met
- Ensure all closing duties are completed and paperwork is accurate
- Assist with training and development of Banquet Servers and other staff members
Requirements:
- Minimum three years of experience in banquet operations in a four/five star hotel
- High school diploma; diploma/degree in Hospitality/Culinary Management preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of Windows, Excel, Delphi, and Microsoft Office preferred
- Ability to enforce hotel standards, policies, and procedures
- Language: Required to speak, read, and write English; additional language an asset
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to exert physical effort, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
- Ability to reach up and down, remain stationary at times, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers
