Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate banquet operations, including menu planning, table settings, and logistics
  • Work closely with the Chef and Stewarding team to ensure seamless execution of events
  • Prepare station assignments for Banquet Servers and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages
  • Inspect table set-ups and rectify any deficiencies
  • Communicate with guests and staff to ensure their needs are met
  • Ensure all closing duties are completed and paperwork is accurate
  • Assist with training and development of Banquet Servers and other staff members

Requirements:

  • Minimum three years of experience in banquet operations in a four/five star hotel
  • High school diploma; diploma/degree in Hospitality/Culinary Management preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in fast-paced environments
  • Knowledge of Windows, Excel, Delphi, and Microsoft Office preferred
  • Ability to enforce hotel standards, policies, and procedures
  • Language: Required to speak, read, and write English; additional language an asset

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to exert physical effort, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
  • Ability to reach up and down, remain stationary at times, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers
