About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Manager to join our team at Harvard University. As a key member of our research administration team, you will be responsible for overseeing pre- and post-award activities for a portfolio of sponsored research projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a full life cycle of grants, from pre-award to post-award, including review and approval of financial transactions and monthly financial monitoring and reconciliation of awards.
  • Meet regularly with faculty, department staff, and central staff to discuss award management and provide technical and financial information.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of national and international research regulations, including export controls and foreign currency management.
  • Collaborate with the Physics department to manage equipment and fabrication purchases, including approvals, tagging, and placing equipment in-service.
  • Ensure compliance with Harvard's equipment policy and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of sponsored research regulations.

Work Format Details

This is a hybrid position based in Massachusetts, with additional details to be discussed during the interview process. All remote work must be performed within one of the Harvard Registered Payroll States.
