Project Engineer Job Description

At MasTec Civil, LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical engineering information to project supervision and crafts to ensure construction work complies with all safety regulations, engineering standards, codes, and specifications.
  • Review project contracts, plans, and specifications in their entirety to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare project schedules and monthly updates to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce to resolve project challenges, conflicts, and technical issues.
  • Prepare and submit prime and subcontractor change orders to ensure accurate tracking of project costs.
  • Manage document control to include submittal schedules, contract documents, project record drawings, and other relevant documents.
  • Prepare and maintain technical submittal lists, NPDES permits, storm water pollution prevention plans, and project progress schedules as required.
  • Comply with notice requirements such as inspections, survey staking, joint measurements with owner and/or engineer, utility locations and adjustments, testing, claims, and other relevant activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Construction Engineering and Management.
  • ~4 or more years' experience in the civil construction field (office/field role).
