Security Bank is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Universal Banker to join our team. As a key member of our banking team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and promoting our bank's products and services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide prompt and courteous service to external and internal clients, responding to their inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Process transactions, including account openings, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, while maintaining accurate records and adhering to security protocols.
- Assist customers with online banking, including setup, password reset, and security questions.
- Print instant issue debit cards and add remarks to accounts as needed.
- Scanning customer IDs and updating expired IDs.
- Knowledge of required information and procedures for fraud paperwork, stop pays, holds, and exchanging customer currency with foreign currency.
- Open and close accounts, including DDA, SAV, SDB, and CDs.
- Perform daily branch activities, including adding money to the ATM, auditing drawers with management, and filing daily work and bank by mail.
- Demonstrate knowledge of services provided by Blauser, including printing checks, deposit slips, and business checks.
- Make good risk management decisions for fraud prevention and promote the bank's products and services.
- Perform duties of a manager and make management decisions when stepping in to fill this role.
- Provide education and training for all staff and new managers.
- Actively participate and contribute to meeting branch goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to three years' experience in retail banking.
- Proven ability to recognize client needs and provide answers that exceed expectation.
- Practical experience with basic hardware and software.
- Experience with professional communications vocally and through written format.
- A proven record of sales and referrals.
Sufficient stamina to sit and read a computer screen or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to perform repetitive motion with wrists, hands, and/or fingers and otherwise perform the essential functions of the position. While performing these duties, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. Mobility to move throughout the branch. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
