HR Tech Specialist

The University of New Mexico's Office for Academic Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented HR Tech to provide support for faculty personnel actions, administrative tasks, and record maintenance. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing office phone and email accounts, performing routine correspondence, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Manage office phone and email accounts, responding to inquiries and correspondence from applicants, faculty, and departmental clients.
- Complete routine reporting related to HR processes and collective bargaining agreements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in OAP's database, including personnel files, labor agreements, and HR processes.
- Implement and maintain electronic personnel file systems, ensuring seamless transition from legacy filing systems.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, reserve conference rooms, and arrange setup and parking as needed.
- Prepare meeting minutes for confidential personnel actions, labor relations activities, and OAP staff meetings.
- Maintain OAP's website, updating content and support tools for faculty and graduate assistantship holders.
- Oversee incoming inquiries and requests, organizing responsive information and routing accordingly.
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of collective bargaining agreements, labor relations, employee relations, and human resources practices.
- High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Over three years of analytical and problem-solving experience.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Thorough understanding of laws, regulations, and guidelines related to HR and contract negotiations.
- Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

As a condition of employment, eligible employees working greater than 0.25 FTE must make mandatory retirement contributions.
