About Us

At unspun, we're on a mission to revolutionize the way we produce and consume textiles. Our goal is to reduce global human carbon emissions by 1% by creating tools for zero-waste production and circular reuse. We're developing a proprietary technology that combines 3D printing and automated textile manufacturing to create custom apparel products from yarn to final product.

What We're Building

We're at the forefront of additive manufacturing, industrial automation, and synchronized systems. Our technology uses hundreds of sensors and actuators to create complex electro-mechanical systems. If you're passionate about building and operating prototype technology, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and finding clarity in ambitious projects, we'd love to hear from you.

About You

  • Conduct experiments to evaluate loom performance and output quality
  • Analyze and communicate results of experiments and machine state
  • Use measurement equipment to troubleshoot and diagnose machine issues
  • Collaborate with engineers on experiments and results
  • Create and maintain documentation for internal communication and record keeping
Ideal Qualities
  • 2-4 years of experience as a technician in mechanical assembly, operating complex machinery, or working with textile equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
  • Proficient in operating and setting up machinery
  • Strong understanding of technical engineering drawings, schematics, and manuals
  • Background or interest in textiles, weaving, and yarns
  • Proficient with hand and power tools
  • Hands-on experience with experimentation and testing techniques
  • Knowledge of experimental measurement equipment and instrumentation
  • Understanding of mechatronics, moving parts, and sensors
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range: $68,000 - $75,000 USD annually (base hourly equivalent, plus overtime)
  • 0.01% - 0.02% equity
  • Self-regulated vacation policy
