The Senior Investment Accountant plays a crucial role in providing expert accounting support for the organization's financial activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. This position is tasked with delivering precise, timely, and dependable financial operations, data, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement necessary actions to ensure daily reconciliations between investment systems and custodians.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations among investment systems, general ledger, and custodians, addressing any discrepancies as required.
  • Propose, execute, and document enhancements to current processes and solutions.
  • Manage trade activities, assist with data processing, and ensure accuracy in transactional accounting within the investment framework.
  • Generate, analyze, and present timely and precise financial and regulatory reports.
  • Effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Recognize and address technical and operational challenges within the work area, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on specific business initiatives.
  • Oversee the monthly closing process of the investment system.
  • Support audit processes by providing relevant data and responding to inquiries from auditors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience is essential.
  • Experience in Public Accounting and/or Investment Accounting is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting and financial software (Oracle, PAM, PLM) is preferred.
  • Exhibit initiative and a self-directed approach to responsibilities.
  • Possess strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain consistent controls to uphold the financial integrity of the business area.
