Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Youth Leader to join our team at Vinfen. As a Recovery Youth Leader, you will play a vital role in helping Transitional Age Youth (TAY) achieve their goals and overcome challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate events and programs that foster a warm and welcoming environment for TAY participants.
  • Communicate and represent the Youth Peer movement within Vinfen and facilitate Peer-run groups.
  • Participate in TAY seminars, trainings, and events to address the needs and goals of the TAY population.

Requirements:

  • Applicant must be between the ages of 21-25.
  • Current or previous experience as a recipient of mental health services required.
  • Basic familiarity with data entry and access.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to instill confidence and advocate for SERLC participants.
  • Cultural sensitivity and comfort with diverse social, racial, and ethnic populations.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Services preferred.
  • Certification as Peer Specialist (CPS) in the state of service preferred.
