Job Title: Recovery Youth Leader

Join Vinfen, a leading nonprofit human services organization, as a Recovery Youth Leader and make a meaningful impact in the lives of Transitional Age Youth (TAY). As a Recovery Youth Leader, you will play a vital role in facilitating events and programs that foster a warm and welcoming environment for TAY.

About the Role:

As a Recovery Youth Leader, you will:

  • Help address the needs and goals of the TAY population by participating in seminars, trainings, and events.
  • Facilitate events and programs of the Recovery Learning Center that promote a culture of recovery and wellness.
  • Communicate, represent, and promote the Youth Peer movement within Vinfen and facilitate Peer-run groups.

Requirements:

To be successful as a Recovery Youth Leader, you will need:

  • To be of transitional age between 21-25.
  • Current or previous experience as a recipient of mental health services.
  • Basic familiarity with data/information entry.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to instill confidence and advocate for SERLC participants.
  • Cultural sensitivity and comfort with a wide range of social, racial, and ethnic populations.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Services is preferred.
  • Certification as a Peer Specialist (CPS) in the state of service is preferred.
Required Certifications:

To ensure your success as a Recovery Youth Leader, you will need to obtain:

  • CPR certification within two weeks of hire.
  • First Aid certification within two weeks of hire.
  • CPSS certification.
  • Other trainings as assigned.
