The Opportunity

This role will be based in our San Jose headquarters and will focus on providing legal counsel to our Enterprise Sales and Licensing teams. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to negotiate contracts, review and analyze complex commercial agreements, and provide strategic advice on intellectual property, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Attorney, you will be responsible for:

  1. Reviewing and negotiating contracts with enterprise customers, including cloud-based services, on-premises software, and professional services agreements.
  2. Providing legal counsel to Sales and Sales Management teams on commercial terms, risk analysis, and regulatory compliance.
  3. Collaborating with internal teams, including Product, Privacy/Security, and Consulting Services, to ensure alignment on intellectual property, commercial terms, and risk management.
  4. Participating in or leading projects, such as template creation, job aid development, and trainings, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our sales and licensing processes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A JD degree and a license to practice law in the state of California.
  2. 2-4 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in the technology or software industry.
  3. Excellent client management and communication skills, with the ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
