Job Overview

Position Purpose

The Facilities and Transportation Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Facilities and Transportation Director in maintenance and transportation tasks. This position also assists the RISE Mobile Crew Manager with various projects and provides essential support to individuals in Community Services.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations
  • Uphold the dignity and respect of all individuals.
  • Embody the agency's mission and culture.
  • Serve as a Job Coach.
  • Provide safe transportation to activities, ensuring vehicle cleanliness and conducting pre-trip inspections.
  • Adhere to assigned schedules, including punctuality and timely requests for time off.
  • Be prepared to work extended or modified hours as needed.
  • Supervise and assist individuals in community settings.
  • Understand and support the needs outlined in each individual's Individual Support Plan.
  • Facilitate recreational, social, and community activities tailored to individual preferences.
  • Collaborate with the RISE Mobile Crew Manager on projects and contracts.
  • Assist the Facilities and Transportation Director with maintenance and transportation tasks.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles, both inside and out.
Team Collaboration
  • Treat all individuals and colleagues with dignity, respect, and fairness.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Work in cooperation with other departments to achieve program goals.
  • Encourage team member participation in activities and agency objectives.
  • Possess the ability to teach small groups in a safe and adaptable manner.
  • Build and maintain relationships with all levels of the RISE team.

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a Missouri Class E chauffeur's license within 14 days of hire.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and any subsequent checks is required.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and will be subject to random checks thereafter.
  • Complete employment-related training as directed.
