Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team at RISE Community Services. As a key member of our transportation team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate vehicles on assigned routes, adhering to schedules and adjusting as needed.
  • Provide transportation services to individuals, maintaining a clean and safe environment within vehicles.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with individuals, acting as their advocate and support.
  • Oversee daily vehicle operations, including maintenance, safety checks, and cleanliness.
  • Perform minor vehicle maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and checking fuel levels.
  • Report any vehicle concerns or issues to direct supervisors.
  • Conduct daily visual safety inspections of vehicles and report any concerns.
  • Monitor bus entry and exit procedures for wheelchair-bound passengers.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current driver's license and ability to obtain a Missouri Class E chauffeur's license within 14 days of hire.
  • Pass a pre-employment background check and random drug and alcohol screenings.
  • Basic computer skills and excellent interpersonal skills required.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull 50lbs.
