Northampton Business Directory is seeking an Education Funding Team Manager for a pivotal role within the public sector.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Education Funding Team Manager will establish and uphold financial systems related to Education Services.
This role is essential for enabling the Service to fulfill its funding and payment responsibilities effectively.
Key tasks include overseeing payment transactions for educational services and commissioning, as well as managing payments to educational institutions and early years settings.
The position will also involve the rollout of a new funding system for schools and settings, set to launch in September, ensuring accurate payments and fostering confidence in the system among partners.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Relevant degree or professional qualification, or substantial practical experience in a related field.
- Proven experience in educational, social care, or local government environments.
- Background in collaborating with education and/or social care professionals to enhance service delivery.
- Experience in budget monitoring, management, and development.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences, including senior management and the media.
