Job Summary:

This position involves providing speech therapy services to students with disabilities in a center-based school setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members, and have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional educational services.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
  • Provide direct and consultative services to students, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure students receive appropriate support and accommodations.
  • Maintain accurate records and report progress to parents and guardians.

Requirements:

  • NYS Certification in Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Speech and Language Disabilities; NYS licensure and ASHA certification preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of special education law and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Firm commitment to meeting the needs of every student and a strong belief that all students can succeed.

Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
