Responsibilities:

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing and executing established treatment plans under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Engaging with patients, families, referring physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Providing timely and accurate documentation as per facility and departmental standards.
  • Enhancing clinical and professional skills through continuous learning and professional associations.
  • Ensuring compliance with insurance documentation requirements to meet regulatory standards.
  • Contributing to departmental operations and initiatives.
  • Reporting any changes in patient conditions to the supervising therapist promptly.
  • Meeting or exceeding productivity benchmarks set by the supervisor.
  • Utilizing professional judgment to maintain the safety of patients and staff.
  • Participating in mandatory meetings as directed by the supervisor.
  • Communicating effectively with therapists regarding patient responses to treatment.
  • Attending in-service training sessions and educational presentations.
  • Maintaining valid licensure and certifications as required by state regulations.
