Position Summary:

In this role, you will work both independently and collaboratively, playing a vital part in fulfilling our mission and commitment to delivering high-quality products and outstanding customer service. All employees are expected to uphold a culture of safety by adhering to established safety protocols and guidelines, minimizing risks to themselves and others.

Under general supervision, Press Brake Operators are tasked with ensuring that quality components are bent within a tolerance of .5. It is essential to maintain a positive attitude and a collaborative spirit, as we believe that collective progress leads to success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret measurements using a tape measure and protractor.
  • Operate a forklift as needed.
  • Lift weights up to 60 lbs and participate in team lifts when required.
  • Learn and apply the laser nesting procedure.
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance on assigned press brake machinery.
  • Set up machinery with the appropriate tooling.
  • Adhere to KanBan protocols, ensuring production carts meet standards and optimizing metal usage.
  • Assist laser operators as necessary.
  • Engage with leadership and team members during meetings and discussions to enhance departmental strategies aimed at exceeding quality objectives.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with all colleagues, customers, vendors, and visitors.
  • Complete all production goals daily and ensure tooling is replaced after each use.

Availability Requirements:

Available Shifts:

  • 1ST - DAY - 6AM TO 2:30PM
  • 2ND - 2:00PM TO 10:30PM
  • 3RD - 9:30PM TO 6:00AM
  • Overtime may be required based on departmental needs.

Regular attendance is crucial due to the nature of this position. Approximately 40 hours per week is expected, including attendance at designated meetings. Availability may also be required for emergencies outside normal operating hours.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience operating a press brake is preferred.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to comprehend written instructions and procedures in English, including prints and measuring tools.

  • Effectively communicate with employees, management, customers, and vendors using available technology and in person.

  • Provide logical and well-reasoned responses to business-related inquiries.
  • Identify product anomalies and potential safety hazards using various quality control indicators.
  • Move frequently within the designated work area and across the property site.
  • Lift and transport specified weights regularly, with occasional bending and climbing as needed.

WEIGHT / LOAD REQUIREMENTS:

Press Brake: Frequently up to 60 lbs, occasionally up to 80 lbs.
