Job Title: Operations Coordinator

SGS is seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the daily inspection workload and business operations, ensuring seamless coordination with our laboratory and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance and feedback to inspection staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Liaise with the laboratory and clients to ensure timely and accurate results.
  • Manage operating files, input critical data into customer databases, and maintain technical knowledge specific to the oil, gas, and chemical industry.
  • Coordinate with customers, refineries, and shipping agencies to manage marine vessel logistics, making independent technical decisions to support general operations.
  • Review and approve time logs submitted by inspectors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
  • Manage daily and monthly calibration records, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with company procedures.
  • Ensure inspectors comply with company procedures for Safety, Field Operations, and Reporting.
  • Understand and comply with individual client instructions and requirements.
  • Regular client visits and coordination with the sales group are required.
  • Use technical knowledge to direct field work, including field audits, implementing new client procedures, and mentoring field employees.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Three years of industry-related coordination experience (required)
  • Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field (preferred)
  • Five years of industry-related coordination experience (preferred)

  • High level of accuracy, with special attention to details (required)
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Dependable and reliable individual, with excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to follow instructions independently, with little or no supervision
  • Ability to lift bulky items, climb, bend, reach, without restriction
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, with ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and systematically compile technical and financial information
  • Ability to independently plan, organize, and complete a variety of projects
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
