Job Title: Project Coordinator/Accountant

Delphi Construction is seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator/Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial reporting, analysis, and assistance to our project teams and company stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acquire project budget from project teams and enter data into appropriate systems.
  • Draft, process, and distribute owner applications for payment and letters invoices as directed by project managers.
  • Compile all required payment backup, including subcontractor billings, cost reports, or lien waivers.
  • Collect and process subcontractor applications for payment and work with compliance to ensure all backup documentation is provided.
  • Review and validate subcontractor applications for payment with project teams and aid in correcting errors and omissions.
Project Mobilization, Maintenance, Demobilization:
  • Coordinate with field staff and project teams to ensure all necessary items are in place to operate a successful project site.
  • Coordinate and validate final billings from service providers and vendors.
  • Set up and maintain key project information in project programs and review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences.
Subcontractor Risk Management:
  • Work with project teams to understand project-specific needs, including contract type, documentation, and project requirements.
  • Work with compliance to collect and process lien waivers and provide assistance to subcontractors with lower-tier subcontractors.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems.
  • Team player with great interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a similar field is required.
  • 3-5 years of project accounting experience or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of best practices in accounting.
  • Proficiency in software tools: Procore, Sage 300CRE, HH2.
