Job Responsibilities:
The Patient Access Specialist plays a crucial role in the Patient Access department, responsible for:
1. Registering patients efficiently
2. Determining the appropriate financial classification
3. Collecting necessary insurance details
4. Scheduling patient appointments while adhering to departmental quality standards
5. Conducting symptom and temperature screenings for hospital visitors
This position operates on a PRN basis, with scheduling based on the needs of the department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of clerical experience
- Proficiency in computer usage
- Previous experience in patient registration within a healthcare environment is preferred.
