Lead Clinical Support Specialist

The Lead Clinical Support Specialist is responsible for directing and managing the functions of the front office and the Clinical Support Representative team to guarantee empathetic and professional service for patients while ensuring an efficient front office operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or higher is preferred
  • Experience in Medical Front Office or administrative roles, ideally within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
  • Preferred experience in supervisory or management roles
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is required
  • Understanding of insurance verification processes; knowledge in dental, medical, and behavioral health

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delegate and organize tasks for Front Office personnel
  • Propose solutions for operational challenges
  • Oversee daily Front Office financial collections
  • Manage the insurance verification process
  • Engage in mandatory meetings and training sessions

CRITICAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Commitment to serving underserved communities

Physical Demands: The role is conducted in a dynamic office environment with local travel required. Physical demands may include extended periods of sitting or standing and frequent phone usage. Lifting and transporting equipment and supplies may also be necessary.
