Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at Dollar General. As a key member of our distribution center operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the receipt, stocking, and shipment of merchandise, as well as supervising employees who operate rolling stock equipment and/or automated equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze warehouse management system reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures to ensure efficient and effective warehouse operations.
  • Collaborate with the Inbound/Outbound Manager to review staffing levels and develop strategies to optimize labor utilization.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement measures to reduce or eliminate employee injuries.
  • Partner with the Training Department to monitor new employee development and provide coaching and feedback to improve performance.
  • Develop and implement productivity improvement plans to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Review and analyze quality measurements to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and provide support for annual employee reviews and merit increase evaluations.
  • Interview and select candidates for employment in partnership with the Human Resources department.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and warehouse management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees, management, and external partners.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
