Job Summary

Credit Union of Denver is seeking a skilled Financial Risk Specialist to join our team. As a Financial Risk Specialist, you will play a critical role in reducing financial risk for our credit union by managing delinquent accounts, creating repayment plans, and preventing losses. You will work closely with members to develop solutions for delinquent accounts and provide financial counseling to help them stay on track and protect the financial health of our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delinquency Management: Monitor and manage delinquent accounts, contracting members to resolve outstanding balances
  • Member Communication: Engage with members via phone, email, or in person to negotiate payment plans and provide financial counseling
  • Risk Assessment: Evaluate credit risk on delinquent loans and accounts to recommend appropriate actions (repayment plans, loan modifications, repossession, etc.)
  • Collections: Initiate collections processes for overdue accounts, while adhering to legal and regulatory guidelines

Requirements:

  • High School education or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of similar or related experience preferred

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Salary Range: $22.55 - $25.06 per hour
