About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Lead Database Administrator to join our team at Eateam. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our Snowflake data warehouse infrastructure.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, and other objects to meet business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Snowflake UDFs, stored procedures, and user-defined functions using SQL, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Configure and manage Snowflake security features, including data masking, secure views, and account-level security.
  • Analyze and optimize Snowflake workloads, warehouses, and scaling policies to improve performance and reduce costs.
  • Provide support for ETL batch processes, troubleshoot data loading issues, and resolve connectivity problems.
  • Collaborate with the development team to design and implement data warehousing solutions that meet business requirements.


Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on Snowflake data warehousing and administration.
  • Expertise in Snowflake object creation and management, connectivity, UDFs, Snowpipe, user management, and RBAC.
  • Strong knowledge of Snowflake utilities, including SnowSQL and SnowPipe.
  • Experience with scripting languages, including Python, JavaScript, and Unix shell scripting.
  • Cloud platform experience, with a focus on AWS storage (S3) and Azure blob storage and containers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes, change management, and incident handling.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and JIRA.
  • Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
