We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at University Hospital in Madison, WI. As a member of our Heart and Vascular Progressive Care Unit, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to a collaborative and dynamic healthcare environment.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will have a strong background in IMC/PCU/Step down experience, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and participating in shared governance initiatives. Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to patients with complex medical conditions, including abdominal and thoracic aneurysm repairs, carotid endarterectomies, and limb saving lytic therapies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in shared governance initiatives, including unit-based councils and quality improvement projects.
- Contribute to a culture of excellence and patient safety, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- 2+ years of acute care experience, with a focus on IMC/PCU/Step down.
- Experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
- WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state.
- BLS & ACLS certification through American Heart Association.
- Basic Arrhythmia experience and ability to pass UW Health Telemetry test.
