We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Heart and Vascular Progressive Care Unit at University Hospital in Madison, WI.
About the Role:- Provide high-quality patient care to patients with complex medical conditions, including abdominal and thoracic aneurysm repairs, carotid endarterectomies, and limb-saving lytic therapies.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care and participate in shared governance initiatives.
- Develop and implement evidence-based nursing practices to improve patient outcomes and unit culture.
- Participate in daily care team visits and engage patients and families in their care.
- 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years.
- IMC/PCU/Step down experience required; ICU experience considered.
- WI nursing license or compact license from permanent address state.
- BLS & ACLS certification through American Heart Association.
- Basic Arrhythmia experience and ability to pass UW Health Telemetry test.
- 36 hours/week, Night shift, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend rotation, and holidays as operationally needed.
