Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints and operation sheets to produce workpieces of accepted quality.
  • Operate manual and CNC rolls, scarfing, grinding, and torching equipment to meet production requirements.
  • Perform material handling, recordkeeping, and other duties as assigned by supervision.
  • Practice safe work habits, including PPE requirements and all safety rules.
  • Comply with plant rules, excellent practice of safe behavior, and compliance with safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of work experience in a manufacturing environment and pass welding certification.
  • Ability to read blueprints at an intermediate level.
  • Ability to operate manual and CNC rolls.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Ability to count accurately and have basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
  • Ability to read, write legibly, and carry out verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner as needed to complete assigned duties.
  • Ability to use CRT/computer/bar code reader to retrieve and/or input data.
  • Ability to plan work to maximize utilization of equipment.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist/turn, bend/squat, climb, reach below knees, and reach above shoulders on a continuous basis. Frequent use of powered material handling equipment is also required.
