Drywall Project Engineer Job Description

DPR Construction is seeking a skilled drywall project engineer to join our self-perform work group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing drywall projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage drywall projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring of progress.
  • Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and field crews to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and provide solutions.
  • Prepare and submit project reports, including progress updates, cost reports, and safety inspections.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Develop and implement lean construction methods to improve project efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience as a project engineer in drywall and framing, preferably in DPR's core market projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (CMiC or similar), and On Screen Take Off and Quick Bid (optional).
