About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager/Senior Roadway Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. As a key member of our East Region team, you will be responsible for leading the growth and development of a sub-regional design group, building a team in a new market, and facilitating growth in untapped AtkinsRéalis markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings, supervising the production of these drawings as needed.
  • Participate in conducting engineering investigations and planning work, including collection and analysis of data, performance of routine calculations, and evaluation of alternate solutions.
  • Prepare assigned sections of reports under close review of a more experienced professional.
  • Participate on projects involving construction activities, reviewing shop drawings for conformance to specifications, assisting in recordkeeping and generating progress reports, observing construction procedures, and collecting samples for quality control testing.
  • Perform data acquisition and analysis, research the feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations.
  • Prepare material for reports and permit applications, gather information, draft outlines, prepare work progression documents, and graphic presentations.
  • Perform field observations of construction.
Requirements
  • BS and/or MS in Engineering.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience.
  • Must have highway/roadway design experience.
  • Excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project financial management and team management skills.
  • DOT experience required.
  • State PE required through reciprocity.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, Open Roads Designer.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D recommended but not required.
  • Project Manager Professional a plus, but not required.
