Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Coordinate Grounds Maintenance Teams: Lead and manage a team of grounds maintenance staff to ensure the efficient and effective maintenance of parks, trails, and facilities.
  • Develop and Implement Maintenance Plans: Create and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to ensure the upkeep of our parks, trails, and facilities.
  • Manage Budget and Resources: Oversee the budget and resources for grounds maintenance, ensuring that we are using our resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Ensure that all grounds maintenance activities are in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as parks and recreation, to ensure that our grounds maintenance activities are aligned with their goals and objectives.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our community, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • 4+ Years of Experience in Grounds Maintenance: A minimum of 4 years of experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a related field.
  • Supervisory Experience: A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a grounds maintenance or related field.
  • Knowledge of Grounds Maintenance Practices: A strong knowledge of grounds maintenance practices, including turf management, irrigation systems, and pest control.
  • Excellent Communication and Leadership Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of staff.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
