Quaestor Advisors, LLC, our affiliated Special Servicer, provides essential mid and back office support, including asset management services, to both Arena Investors and external clients.

We are seeking to enhance our Operations Team by adding a Loan Associate who will concentrate on internal loan administration. This role offers a comprehensive exposure to the entire origination life cycle of private and syndicated loans, as well as other structured financing arrangements. The ideal candidate will be proactive, resourceful, and capable of collaborating effectively with various internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in preliminary discussions regarding the structuring of legal entities to facilitate joint venture arrangements.
  • Assist in the collection, entry, and monitoring of static data within both internal and external systems.
  • Support the administration of loans where Arena acts as the agent, coordinating with borrowers on interest and principal payments, drawdowns, and deal modifications.
  • Oversee the daily management of the loan portfolio using our proprietary Loan Management System (LMS).
  • Facilitate the deal funding process, which includes managing cash balances, forecasting cash needs, and overseeing closing wire transfers.
  • Coordinate the documentation process for all transactions within internal systems and with external service providers.
  • Monitor and assist in identifying and reconciling cash activities within loan-specific external cash accounts.
  • Conduct daily reconciliations of Fund Administrator Loan Administration activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a reputable university, preferably in a quantitative field such as finance, economics, or accounting.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in loan administration or agency roles within a securities or investment firm.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VBA knowledge is a plus) and possess strong writing skills.
  • Experience in private credit loan origination is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Wall Street Office (WSO), Loan IQ, or similar systems is beneficial.
