Overview

This part-time internship is tailored for students aiming to gain practical experience in the Finance sector. The role encompasses a variety of tasks related to financial management, including accounting, procurement, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions. The internship is structured to be both informative and hands-on, allowing interns to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world environment. Interns will develop a deeper insight into the significance of Finance within a non-profit or governmental framework, enhancing their readiness for future careers in finance.

Educational Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assisting the accounting team during the monthly and annual financial closing processes.
  • Supporting daily and monthly cash receipt tracking, including managing deposits in transit.
  • Facilitating requests for quarterly and annual audits.
  • Engaging with accounting and purchasing software on a daily basis.
  • Contributing to departmental projects as needed (including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Accounting, Payroll, etc.).
Additional Information

Work hours are based on a framework of a 29-hour week, with flexibility to accommodate academic schedules.
