Job Summary

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality precast concrete products and services to customers. This role oversees product inspections and site quality teams to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Minimize defects through promotion of prevention rather than detection
  • Oversee site calibration programs, nonconformance documentation, and manufacturing audits
  • Ensure quality control technicians follow safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures
  • Schedule and oversee incoming, in-process, and finished goods inspections
  • Communicate nonconforming product conditions to team members and supervisors
  • Manage calibration programs for inspection equipment
  • Perform intercompany and supplier quality audits
Requirements
  • Degree in engineering or related field preferred
  • 8 years' experience in Quality role required, with 3 years in Quality Leadership role
  • Internal Auditor Certification required, or 2 years auditing experience and formal training within 6 months
  • Precast and/or ready-mix experience preferred
  • ACI Field, Strength & Aggregate certifications, NPCA Level II certifications, PCI Level I and II certification, or equivalent
Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledgeable in applicable Quality standards (i.e., ISO9001, AISC, M1003, NPCA and/or PCI)
  • Ability to read and interpret ASTM standards
  • Ability to read drawings and prints
  • Ability to understand DOT / Code requirements
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment involving heavy machinery and equipment
