Key Responsibilities:
In this role, the Steward/ess will provide direct meal service to patients, ensuring a friendly and efficient experience. Responsibilities include gathering patient feedback on food and service quality and addressing any concerns promptly. You will collaborate with management to enhance the food and nutrition services offered to patients, while being sensitive to the diverse needs of the populations served.
- Deliver food items and trays accurately to designated patients using two identifiers for verification.
- Collect used trays and solicit feedback from patients regarding their dining experience.
- Demonstrate proper cleaning and dishwashing techniques for service ware.
- Assemble trays according to specific dietary requirements in a timely manner.
- Prepare food and nourishment items following standard production guidelines.
- Follow established procedures for meal preparation and beverage service.
- Adhere to guidelines for the safe storage of food and supplies.
- Maintain and sanitize equipment in the work area effectively.
- Comply with organizational policies and adapt to changes as necessary.
- Report issues to supervisors as appropriate.
- Perform all duties with a focus on safety and mindfulness.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in food service or a related field preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in computer usage is essential.
- Availability for flexible scheduling, including:
- Day shifts starting as early as 6:00 AM
- Evening shifts ending as late as 9:00 PM
