Role Summary:

The Patient Support Specialist II/Nursing is responsible for executing intricate administrative functions while delivering outstanding customer service to our clients. This role supports the Nursing department, clinicians, providers, and managers, ensuring efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit agency core values in daily activities.

  • Maintain an organized and tidy workspace.
  • Manage scheduling, auditing, and documentation within the electronic health record system.
  • Assist with the completion of prior authorizations.
  • Conduct routine checks of relevant databases as necessary.
  • Handle incoming calls and direct them appropriately while maintaining a log of requests.
  • Manage the sending and receiving of faxes.
  • Respond promptly to a high volume of email inquiries.
  • Participate in both on-site and off-site meetings as required.
  • Assist in data collection efforts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in navigating computer applications, including Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities with both clients and colleagues.
  • Strong proficiency in office technology and equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with effective time management and organizational capabilities.
  • Able to multitask effectively in a dynamic work environment.
  • Completion of the Relias Office Certificate program is preferred.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of relevant work experience is preferred.
  • Flexible availability, including the willingness to take after-hours calls if necessary.

A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record and reliable transportation is required.

Compensation: $17.46/hr - $22.26/hr
