Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will possess a strong foundation in business and operational workflows, evaluate IT needs, and have experience with software development and maintenance requests. This role will involve project management and supporting non-technical clients. While performing Business Analyst functions for the IT Business Relationship Management (BRM) unit, the candidate's knowledge of project management and strategic planning will be invaluable for various process evaluations and recommendations for the BRM. The individual will collaborate closely with the BRM Director.

Required Qualifications

Essential (Minimum):

  • 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a large-scale software development environment
  • 5 years of experience in functional and technical requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation with meticulous attention to detail
  • 5 years of proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, and SharePoint)
  • 4 years of experience in developing Use Case documentation and User Stories that result in clearly defined project requirements
  • 3 years of experience facilitating meetings, gathering requirements, and delivering presentations
  • 2 years of experience in developing and presenting project status updates and reporting on key performance indicators for project success
  • 2 years of strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 2 years of familiarity with the Texas Project Delivery Framework
  • 2 years of understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management Life Cycle
