Job Title: Business Analyst - Underwriting Operations

Crum & Forster is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Analyst to join our Underwriting Operations team. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improving processes across our digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with digital, underwriting, and operations teams to develop innovative solutions and improve inefficiencies.
  • Analyze and document business workflows, including Visio cross-functional workflows and step-by-step guides.
  • Communicate project status and proposed solutions to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate testing and quality assurance activities to ensure system functionality.
  • Participate in testing features and partner with digital to ensure timely and accurate releases.
  • Respond to user suggestions and problems, investigating and resolving issues while involving appropriate parties.
Requirements:
  • Experience supporting underwriting operations, particularly in Auto, General Liability, and Excess/Umbrella lines of business.
  • Bachelor's degree required, with 3+ years of related working experience.
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills, with multi-tasking abilities.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and a proven record of delivering projects successfully and timely.
  • Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills, including coordinating, prioritizing, and managing a demanding workload and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience operating within a diverse and global team composed of staff located in multiple locations and time zones.
  • Willingness to learn from new experiences and situations.
  • Skilled at communicating and presenting to a varied audience.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams).
  • Experience with Confluence and Jira is preferred.
