Role Overview:
As a Financial Revenue Consultant, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with finance, operations, IT, and business leaders to facilitate mergers and acquisitions from the initial term sheet through due diligence, closing, valuation, financial reporting, and full integration.
- Leading cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives while managing through others.
- Evaluating the compatibility of acquired company financial processes, controls, policies, and procedures against established standards, providing guidance for necessary adjustments.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders and ensuring effective communication.
- Assessing revenue recognition impacts of acquisitions and new business models, offering strategic guidance to the business.
- Designing and executing efficient and automated integration processes for new acquisitions and business models.
- Overseeing a team responsible for financial analysis, journal entries, and reconciliation of revenue-related accounts.
- Supervising the preparation of periodic reports to meet internal and external reporting needs.
- Managing the implementation and documentation of processes, controls, and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Preparing and reviewing technical accounting memos related to ASC 606 and ASC 805.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active CPA license.
- Experience supervising monthly and quarterly close activities, account reconciliations, and audit preparations.
- Proficient in contract analysis under ASC 606.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks).
- 7+ years of relevant experience, ideally in both public accounting and private industry.
- Strong knowledge of revenue recognition and accounting principles.
- Ability to communicate complex topics to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience managing a team, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
- Proactive in organizing and planning project activities.
- Adaptability and strong interpersonal skills to work across various business units.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of quote-to-collect processes and market strategies.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions or business model integration.
