Job Summary

Gaylord Opco LLC is seeking an experienced Activities Coordinator to join our team at MediLodge of Gaylord. This rewarding role involves developing and implementing engaging activity programs for residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' abilities and interests to create personalized activity plans.
  • Develop and implement a variety of activities, including recreational, therapeutic, and educational programs, to cater to diverse needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of care and services.
  • Supervise and train activity assistants to maintain high-quality service standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to optimize resident engagement and satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Certification as a Certified Activity Director (NCCAP) or state-specific certification.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a long-term care setting, preferably as an Activity Director.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and families.
