Position Overview

The Regional Inventory Management Leader plays a crucial role in advancing inventory strategies and cultivating expertise to improve the operational framework within the designated region. This position entails providing comprehensive inventory management knowledge, establishing best practice policies, procedures, and methodologies. You will oversee the implementation and adherence to these best practices while regularly monitoring and reporting on compliance and issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor inventory staff, serving as a point of escalation and fostering a community among inventory control professionals.
  • Act as the inventory liaison among vendors, clients, and internal departments to meet operational goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement in inventory control practices and their application.
  • Support and advise on the recruitment and training of inventory control associates.
  • Provide guidance and training to enhance organizational inventory control capabilities.
  • Take an active role in developing associates involved in inventory management activities.
  • Coordinate and ensure the establishment of best practices across all sites.
  • Ensure a comprehensive understanding of existing inventory management practices and commercial requirements.
  • Recommend and implement policies and procedures that guarantee accurate inventory records.
  • Establish and maintain effective inventory control practices at all locations.
  • Define and refine consistent metrics and reporting for inventory management.
  • Lead inventory analysis efforts, including physical inventory counts.
  • Manage inventory discrepancy investigations and generate reports to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Stay informed about technological advancements within the industry.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 4 years in inventory control, logistics, or a related field, is required. Additionally, candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in supply chain or distribution, with a preference for those with 3 years in an Inventory Control Manager role within a large organization.
