About the Role

Check is a leading innovator in the payroll industry, revolutionizing the way businesses pay their employees. As an Enterprise Sales Executive, you will play a critical role in identifying and acquiring strategic partners whose strategies align with Check's mission. Your primary responsibility will be to sell to key accounts within the software space, securing multi-million dollar deals and building the foundations of our sales strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Execution: Sell to strategic accounts within the software space and sign multi-hundred thousand dollar deals up to multi-million dollar deals.
  • Deal Execution: Support all aspects of deal execution, including prospecting, outbound efforts, sales execution, internal management, negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Account Planning: Develop account plans for winning and expanding a book of business.
  • Outbound Strategies: Develop outbound strategies to create and nurture opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Work with stakeholders across the Check organization in product, compliance, operations, and more to secure what is needed to close strategic deals.
  • Executive Relationships: Develop relationships with executive stakeholders at new accounts.
  • Complex Sales: Work with company leaders from multiple functions (e.g., Engineering, Product, and Finance) to lead complex product workshops and financial analyses.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of work experience selling in technology enterprise sales.
  • Closing Deals: Direct experience closing growth accounts that involve 6+ month-long sales cycles.
  • Relationship Building: Experience building relationships with C-level executives and managing accounts with multiple stakeholders.
  • Executive Presence: Executive presence, clear and concise communication style.
  • Complex Sales Motion: Experience managing a complex enterprise sales motion.
  • Results-Oriented: Hardworking self-starters with a proven track record of closing multi-million dollar deals with partners.
  • Networking: Creative and persistent networker to locate decision-makers, build relationships, and negotiate.
  • Product-Market Fit: Strong ability to assess product-market fit and prioritize initiatives based on potential business impact.
  • Exceeding Quotas: History of exceeding sales quota.
  • Industry Experience: Experience working with technology infrastructure or fin-tech infrastructure preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to rally organizational support.
  • Energy and Curiosity: High energy level and intellectual curiosity in a fast-paced, start-up environment.

Check is a distributed team across the US, with offices in New York City and San Francisco. We welcome remote work but believe time together in person is valuable and important.
