  • Coordinate with the Lake Arrowhead Lodge Conference Team to ensure seamless execution of events and meetings.
  • Participate in menu development, sample menu tastings, and writing new recipes to enhance our culinary offerings.
  • Maintain food and labor cost controls, ensuring financial acumen and budget management.
  • Supervise, schedule, and train team members, promoting a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in food preparation and general maintenance of a kitchen.
  • 2-5 years of progressive management experience in a high-volume professional kitchen.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a culinary production team for a high-quality catering establishment and full-service restaurant.
  • Culinary knowledge of food inventory, recipes, menus, and production methods, including culinary terminology and nutritional information.
  • Experience developing, testing, and perfecting healthy and nutritious recipes and menu items.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse populations.
  • Ability to organize, delegate, and monitor work assignments of others to ensure tasks are completed accurately and thoroughly.
  • Working knowledge of safety and sanitation rules and procedures for food service facilities.
  • Proficient in using standard business software, such as Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary Arts degree or equivalent.
  • ServSafe Manager (Food Handler Certification).

Working Conditions

  • Evening, weekend, and holiday work as business dictates.
  • Drive University vehicles, such as electric carts, for meetings and site inspections.
  • Maintain ServSafe Manager (Food Handler Certification) up to date.
