Role Responsibilities:
As a Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the effective implementation, integration, and maintenance of a multi-site classified network, utilizing diverse locations and vendor hardware.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Configuration and management of Cisco routers and switches, firewalls, and providing support to the system administration team during deployments at new sites.
  • Designing, constructing, testing, and troubleshooting computer systems.
  • System administration tasks.
  • Configuration of workstations and servers.
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of network systems.
  • Collaborating with the SysAdmin and DevSecOps teams to maintain and update database systems.
  • Conducting trade studies and assembling rack-mounted systems.
Qualifications:

This is an EARLY CAREER (level 2) ROLE requiring a minimum of 2 years of professional experience and a Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Security Clearance: Selected candidates must possess a Final Secret security clearance prior to commencement.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Final Secret clearance prior to start and the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing LAN and WAN networks.
  • Experience with Linux/RHEL.
Desired Skills:
  • Strong understanding of network architecture, topologies, engineering, design, implementation, and testing.
  • Familiarity with communication products including routers, switches, firewalls, DNS, and data encryption technologies.
  • Certifications from industry vendors such as Cisco (CCNA).
  • Knowledge of DoD security practices including STIG/RMF compliance.
  • Experience with network monitoring, diagnostics, and analytics tools.
  • Network and Linux/RHEL automation using Ansible.
  • Virtualization experience with VMWare.
  • Documenting existing and new network architectures using Visio.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
