Job Title: Control Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Engineer to join our team at Isotrol, a leading provider of renewable energy solutions. As a Control Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing control systems for our cutting-edge renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop control strategies for our diverse portfolio of renewable energy projects, utilizing your in-depth knowledge of renewable energy systems.
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to integrate control and automation solutions into renewable energy systems for optimal performance, grid integration, and utility interconnection.
  • Design and program PPC (Power Plant Controllers) for efficient and reliable power conversion, energy management, and utility control testing.
  • Conduct utility control testings and work closely with utility companies to ensure seamless interconnection and compliance with their grid requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose control system issues, providing timely solutions to ensure uninterrupted operation and performance optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations, including NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) compliance, and other relevant codes for our renewable energy projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in renewable energy technologies and control systems, identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in controls engineering, with a focus on renewable energy systems.
  • Strong proficiency in PPC (Power Plant Controller) systems relevant to renewable energy applications.
  • Knowledge of grid integration challenges and solutions for renewable energy projects, including utility interconnection and utility control testings.
  • Familiarity with NERC compliance requirements to ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative team environment.
  • Passion for sustainability and a desire to contribute to the growth of the renewable energy industry.
