Position Summary:
As a Youth Engagement Specialist, you will actively interact with and oversee Club Members in designated program areas across multiple Club locations. Your primary focus will be to ensure a Safe, Positive, and Enjoyable environment. You will collaborate with fellow staff members to design, organize, and sustain an Optimal Club Experience that fosters a Sense of Belonging, Positive Peer Interactions, and Strong Mentor-Youth Relationships. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and visual appeal of program areas, equipment, and supplies while supporting scheduled activities and encouraging Club Members to participate in various programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Youth Development- Facilitate programs, activities, and services that promote youth engagement.
- Create an environment conducive to Positive Youth Development.
- Ensure a consistently healthy and safe atmosphere (both physically and emotionally) for all Club Members.
- Adhere to the Code of Ethics for the organization.
- Comply with licensing policies and regulations.
- Participate in all required staff meetings.
- Follow all Club policies and procedures diligently.
- Assist in program evaluation and outcomes measurement.
- Timely completion of program data collection, such as attendance and pre/post assessments in an engaging manner.
- Support initiatives aimed at increasing Club membership, retention, and engagement.
- Participate in special programs and events as needed.
- Regularly communicate progress and developmental achievements to parents.
- Assist with program participation logistics, such as permission slips for field trips, and generate enthusiasm among youth.

Relationships
- Internal: Maintain close daily contact with Club Staff (both professional and volunteer), Club Members, and supervisors to exchange information, address issues, and provide guidance.
- External: Engage with community groups, schools, and parents to resolve any issues as necessary.
Qualifications:
The following qualifications are required for this position:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Preferred: College coursework in child-related fields.
- Experience in out-of-school programming or similar roles in youth supervision is preferred.
- Knowledge of youth development principles.
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to anticipate youth needs and maintain schedules.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A valid Class E driver's license (or willingness to obtain) with a good driving record is preferred.
- Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications can be obtained upon employment.
Working Conditions:
- Occasionally required to lift items up to 25 pounds (e.g., files, equipment).
- Regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Regularly required to utilize near vision to read data and documents in various formats.
