Unit Overview

Sodexo's Campus Segment is in search of a Regional Operations Manager to lead and manage a diverse portfolio of client partnerships.

This role encompasses overseeing 12 partnerships across the state of Vermont.

The ideal candidate will ideally be based in the Vermont region.

The operational scope includes a combination of student dining services for breakfast, lunch, and some dinner, alongside multiple retail outlets and catering operations, generating a total revenue of approximately $32 million.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations Management, the daily responsibilities will involve:

  • Providing comprehensive planning, direction, evaluation, and control to assigned units to meet operational and financial objectives.
  • Participating as a vital member of the management team, handling HR functions, and fostering effective relationships with customers and clients.
  • Offering leadership support to a team of managers and frontline staff.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Act as the primary representative of Sodexo for multiple accounts within a designated geographic area.
  • Be accountable for effectively coordinating and directing all activities within the assigned area through subordinate managers, supervisors, and staff, focusing on financial performance, client retention, and employee training and development.
  • Collaborate with each client and the Vice President on all matters related to contract and account operations to establish and maintain strong, mutually beneficial business relationships that ensure account retention.
  • Develop comprehensive business plans and budgets for the accounts in conjunction with the General Managers.
  • Exhibit strong strategic leadership, financial insight, talent management, and exceptional communication and project management skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively across various organizational levels and possess outstanding presentation capabilities.
  • Show proficiency in meeting multiple deadlines and managing workload efficiently.
  • Engage with clients and the Regional Vice President on all matters related to contract and account operations to ensure account growth and retention.

Some travel will be necessary.

Compensation

Sodexo is committed to fair and equitable compensation, which is partially determined by a candidate's education level and years of relevant experience. While the budgeted range for this position is provided, Sodexo salary offers are based on specific criteria such as experience, skills, education, and training.
