Pace Transportation Services is seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Trailer Technician (Level II or Level III) to join our team. As a Mobile Trailer Mechanic/Body Technician, you will work from home, being on call, and drive to our customers' breakdown sites or worksite locations to perform repairs on commercial heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
Responsibilities:- Diagnose and complete complex repairs on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and other equipment.
- Work with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, and resolve their problems.
- Drive to worksites to diagnose and complete repairs, using specialized tools and following documented procedures and policies.
- Complete required documents, such as service worksheets, time sheets, and warranty claims.
- Maintain company-issued service trucks, conduct safety checks, and perform daily pre/post-trip inspections.
- 5+ years of experience working on heavy-duty vehicles.
- Post-secondary certificate or training.
- Experience with Ottawa/Kalmar products.
- Ability to work with no direct on-site supervision.
- Ability to make effective judgments to prioritize workload and time allocation.
