Job Summary

Remprex is seeking a skilled Chassis/Container/Trailer (CCT) Technician to join our team in Chicago, IL. As a CCT Technician, you will be responsible for the repair of chassis, trailers, containers, and other intermodal equipment in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair damage to chassis, trailers, and containers, including brakes, landing gear, and suspension.
  • Safely assess, diagnose, repair, and handle tires on all types of intermodal equipment, including single and split rim applications.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of equipment's current condition and maintenance history.
  • Maintain designated parts and inventory list.
  • Provide concise written and photographic documentation to support the need for maintenance.
  • Create and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
  • Own basic hand tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with supervisors, members of management, vendors, and other employees.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions well.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, mainframe systems, and terminal operating systems.
  • Comfort with climbing ladders and working up to 20 feet above ground.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Verifiable work experience (5 years) with an acceptable attendance record.
  • Mechanics with FMCSA and Brake Qualification forms (not required).
Location

This role is based out of Chicago, IL 60629. This role requires employees to be on-site during designated shifts.
