Your Responsibilities as a Senior Geologist:
  • Act as a key contributor in environmental and hydrogeological projects, including site assessments, remediation efforts, due diligence investigations, groundwater exploration, and aquifer analysis.
  • Oversee the creation of digital maps and plans utilizing GIS technology.
  • Manage chemical, stratigraphic, and other datasets, and analyze data to produce various visual representations, including time-series graphs.
  • Perform statistical analyses of groundwater data, including trend evaluations and comparisons.
  • Assess and interpret aquifer pumping test data, including various testing methods, to determine aquifer parameters and recommend operational guidelines.
  • Lead field investigations and groundwater monitoring activities.
  • Supervise field logging and manage drilling subcontractors, including bedrock drilling and well construction.
  • Support the mentorship and training of junior staff in field methodologies, data management, and GIS production.

What we seek:
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in subsurface investigations, technical report writing, and GIS for digital mapping.
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or a closely related field, including completion of a field course.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in groundwater sampling using various methodologies, including low-flow sampling.
  • Familiarity with submersible, bladder, and peristaltic pumps.
  • Experience in stratigraphic logging using various drilling techniques, including hollow-stem auger, direct-push, air rotary, and rock coring.
  • PG or GIT license preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn various technical software applications.
  • Willingness to participate in occasional emergency response efforts related to environmental releases.
